With just 32 miles to the finishing line at the Mara River, the herd's gruelling 200-mile journey across the Serengeti is finally coming to its end. But with food rations down to zero, crossing the final miles could kill them. Former soldier Manu is fighting a leg infection and barely able to walk, and Jens Rasmussen is brought to his knees with suspected dysentery. Hundreds of lions, cheetahs and hyenas are stalking the final miles to the river, hungry for a quick kill. Unarmed and alone, the nearest hospital is almost 200 miles away. The human Herd must negotiate their way through the hostile predator territory to reach safety.
