(Wild Wales/2010) Join wildlife expert Iolo Williams on a fascinating tour of the spectacular scenery and wildlife of Wales in this remarkable three part series. There are few places in the world where one can descend from dramatic mountains, through open moorland, along beautiful streams and rivers, through glorious woodland and out to a spectacular coastline, all in a few hours. Each episode focuses on a particular area of the country, starting with the South, moving through the heart of Wales and finishing in the rugged North West. Amidst the beautiful landscapes of the South and West, Iolo begins his journey in Pembrokeshire with red deer, seals and a rare sighting of the secretive red squirrel. Continuing on to the Brecon Beacons he discovers impressive waterfalls, delicate cave structures and bats hiding in dungeons, as well as nesting hobbies, goshawks and other stunning birds.
