(Anna's Wild Life/2012) All in all it?s another action packed season, with all the mishaps, mayhem and magic that is the inevitable result of setting up home with wild animals. Having left the city far behind, Anna and her team have taken to zoo life lock, stock and barrel. Now that the zoo is on its feet, they are able to concentrate on the key roles for any modern zoo. That means, playing their part in the European breeding programmes for endangered species. It also means the zoo can focus more on education and conservation, especially of the native wildlife of West Wales. Their first step is to convert the American bison paddock into an African plains exhibit for endangered species, like the highly endangered Scimitar horned oryx. This means having to move two of the most dangerous animals in the zoo world, which is no mean feat.

(Hope For Wildlife/2009) Mother Nature can be cruel enough - and when man and nature collide, wildlife is usually the loser. This series follows the amazing work of Hope For Wildlife Society, which looks after injured and orphaned wildlife in the Canadian wilderness - rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing thousands of animals each year. The founder of the Society, Hope Swinimer, her staff and volunteers want to right what?s gone wrong in the wild. They?re overworked, under-funded and up to their eyeballs in baby raccoons injured raptors and orphaned deer. As winter thaws, orphaned baby animals begin trickling into the rehab. By spring, it?s filled to capacity. And the rehab is fighting for survival, too. Hope scrambles to raise money as government support dwindles. In the face of it all, Hope is driven by her compassion and belief that every animal matters. An injured pigeon receives the same care as a wounded bald eagle. Not every animal can be saved. Tough choices must be made. There isn?t always a happy ending, but there is always Hope.

By combining conservation, adventure sport and the ancient art of falconry, Scott Mason, is determined to halt the rapid decline of a much misunderstood species. He hit upon the idea of combining his lifelong love of Falconry with the extreme sport of Paragliding and thus invented Parahawking - flying with his rescued and rehabilitated vultures, interacting with the birds in their own environment.

(The Lion Tree/2011) A giant wild Fig tree stands at the centre of a remote flood plain in North Western Zambia. It marks the territory of a pride of Lions who have thrived here for years. Without warning or explanation, the pride male has vanished, leaving five females and their cubs to cope alone. Sooner or later, other Lions will challenge them for this prime territory with its abundant food and water. Tragedy and drama envelop the lives of the Fig Tree pride as they fight for survival. The Alpha female must guide her sisters and the cubs through treacherous times as two very different competing males attempt to take over the pride.

(Jaguar Adventure/2008) Nigel Marven?s on the hunt for the world?s largest jaguars in South America. Travelling deep into the
heart of the Pantanal, a wetland the size of Britain, Nigel comes face to face with these magnificent
cats and chases down scientists who are rushing to save them on Brazil?s burgeoning cattle ranches.
Nigel?s time is short, he?s just four weeks in the world?s biggest wetland to find his jaguars and as
many of the amazing weird swamp creatures that he can. He hopes he?s timed his trip just right to coincide with the end of the dry season, ahead of the forthcoming rains. The animals should now be concentrated around the drying pools, making wildlife spotting a great deal more realistic. As the waters recede Nigel finds a host of characters at the most trying time of their lives.
Patrolling the banks of one of the remaining rivers, the Cuiaba, Nigel and a crack team of jaguar
spotters spend days searching for their quarry. He camps beside the river putting in long nights
as well as days to find a cat known to be illusive. His diligence pays off with some of the most
amazing jaguar encounters ever filmed. Many crews leave the Pantanal without filming a whisker
but Nigel manages to follow one cat all afternoon!.

(Snow Monkeys - Who's Hot and Who's Not/2009) Japanese Macaques, otherwise known as snow monkeys, live in a valley of extremes where changing seasons require resourcefulness. This rich and varied story of life and death, focuses on the very different lives of three groups; one lives in relative luxury; another must endure a daily battle for survival deep in the mountains; while a third has taken to raiding local farms.

Traversing all landscapes around the world for one year, we see how the seasons affect different parts of the world at different times - and how various animals cope. During the rainy season in Africa, vegetation is in abundance for such animals as the Samango monkeys who feast upon fig trees. It?s a different story when the dry season begins, and waters recede, leaving life a daily struggle for many. Later still in the year, the Northern territory?s temperature drops bitterly below zero, but climate changes means the ice forms more slowly than ever before.
