A new era is here: welcome to Planet City. The end of 2008 marked a significant shift in the history of humanity - we are now a predominantly urban-living species. Today, every modern metropolis must respond to a fundamental question: how can nature play a central role in their development, which is both ecological and sustainable, and which allows humans to live in harmony, like in an ecosystem? New York, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Paris are pioneers. Each city is a giant laboratory, experimenting and developing urban ecology, according to its own natural history. Through their investigations, scientists, artists, architects and naturalists will find themselves at the forefront of these major technological and architectural challenges. Their aim is to create a synergy between city and nature, and work on the process of developing the ingredients for tomorrow?s world.

Based in Berlin, this series discovers what it takes to be a zoo baby in a modern zoo. From regular weight checks to inoculations and first trips outside, these young animals experience all these firsts and many more in their initial days of life through to animal infanthood. We learn about their behaviour, how humans work with animals and some top animal facts.

(Monkey Thieves/2011) It?s been 18 months since the Galta Gang divided in two with Bipin, Yash, Tito and the rest of their splinter troop finding a new permanent home at one of Jaipur?s city centre fruit markets.
At Galta temple, Zamir has proved to be one of the group?s strongest leaders but recently troop queen Rani hasn?t quite been herself. At eighteen it seems old age is really taking its toll.
Time has also caught up with Bipin, Yash and Tito. This trio of four year olds are now sexually mature and as soon as male macaques show signs of interest in their opposite sex, they face being banished by the troop?s alpha male.
As one of the hottest summers on record sets in, each of our key characters face some of their biggest challenges to date. And with a new troop causing untold havoc on the city streets, this continuing story of love, death, friendship and war reaches a brand new level.

(Hope for Wildlife/2011) Now celebrating its third series, we follow Hope Swinimer's hands-on approach at the "Hope for Wildlife" society. Hope and her team get down and dirty, helping nurse sick, injured, abandoned and lost animals back to health and return them to their natural habitat. We follow the team as they rescue animals and decide how best to treat them. Tough choices must be made, but more often than not, the results are spectacular.

(White Lions - Born Wild/2012) In the African bush anything unusual stands out strongly and is often eliminated by eagle-eyed predators. Will the white lion cubs survive? The odds are stacked against them ? 80% of all newborn lion cubs don?t make it to adulthood. The most important advantage they have is character: they are feisty and they fight for what they want ? a very important quality for a lion cub. They?re members of a small family pride, consisting of their protective tawny-coloured mother and her sister, who also has two young tawny male cubs of her own. This series follows this lion family on their journey through the Kruger wilderness as they struggle to survive and avoid danger. The last white lions cubs to be born here two years ago were killed by another lion pride before they reached six months. To keep their pride alive the two lionesses must also teach their cubs how to hunt, showing just how crucially important the parents? skills and characters are in turning their helpless cubs into little hunters.

(Europe's Last Wild Horses/2011) In the middle of Germany, ?Muensterland? is an area which has been protected since the early 19th century and is home to the last free-living herd of wild horses in Europe. Following this herd for a year, we take a look into bygone times when true wilderness reigned.

Every year, SANCCOB stages a dramatic rescue of hundreds of penguin chicks whose parents have been unable to feed them due to adverse conditions.
