Willie Theison is an ‘elephant whisperer’, renowned for his special talents with animals, especially African elephants. At Pittsburgh Zoo he’s formed remarkable relationships with elephants, helping them live in an environment as close to the wild as possible. Some of these elephants were considered so dangerous, no one else would take them on; one elephant, Moja, once killed a handler, but with Willie’s support, she is about to give birth. Is this physical and emotional challenge too much for her? This remarkable film documents Theison’s beautiful relationship with nature at its most dangerous, and its most graceful.
