(Monkey Thieves/2011) It?s been 18 months since the Galta Gang divided in two with Bipin, Yash, Tito and the rest of their splinter troop finding a new permanent home at one of Jaipur?s city centre fruit markets.
At Galta temple, Zamir has proved to be one of the group?s strongest leaders but recently troop queen Rani hasn?t quite been herself. At eighteen it seems old age is really taking its toll.
Time has also caught up with Bipin, Yash and Tito. This trio of four year olds are now sexually mature and as soon as male macaques show signs of interest in their opposite sex, they face being banished by the troop?s alpha male.

(Trouble in Lemur Land/2011) High up in the mountains of north-eastern Madagascar lives one of the world?s most critically endangered primates. There are less than a thousand Silky Sifakas alive today and this area of remote rainforest, known as Marojejy?Anjanaharibe-Sud, is their only home. This magical place is under serious threat from illegal logging operations as international demand for highly sought-after rosewood and ebony increases. Sooner or later, other Lions will challenge them for this prime territory with its abundant food and water. Tragedy and drama envelop the lives of the Fig Tree pride as they fight for survival. The Alpha female must guide her sisters and the cubs through treacherous times as two very different competing males attempt to take over the pride.

(Wild Colombia with Nigel Marven/2011) British Naturalist Nigel Marven presents this captivating four-part series exploring the wild side of Colombia. Colombia is a naturalist?s paradise, with more vertebrate species than any other country on Earth, including over 160 species of hummingbird and more than 800 types of frog. From the Andes to the Amazon, the Pacific to the Caribbean, Nigel journeys to the country?s major habitats to meet rare and unusual creatures including giant geckos, glowing beetles and huge anacondas. He also succeeds in locating species found nowhere else on earth and filming some of them for the very first time.

Many whale and dolphin species congregate in the waters of the Canary Islands. Short-finned pilot whales are found here in vast numbers ? the magnificent masters of deep sea diving. One large group is led by Isora, the matriarch, whose activities are documented for a year. Whilst the females and their offspring form the hard-core unit of this close-knit society, the males ensure the protection of newborns and juveniles ? a long-term investment which is crucial for pod survival. As the mothers give birth we examine the close bonds between the new arrivals and the pod, and how the whales deal with the tragic death of one of the calves. It?s not just a struggle for the young, but the rest of the whales must also deal with the dangerous effect of plastic waste, not to mention their daily battles with large squid who share the same food taste.

(White Lions - Born Wild/2012) In the African bush anything unusual stands out strongly and is often eliminated by eagle-eyed predators. Will the white lion cubs survive? The odds are stacked against them ? 80% of all newborn lion cubs don?t make it to adulthood. The most important advantage they have is character: they are feisty and they fight for what they want ? a very important quality for a lion cub. They?re members of a small family pride, consisting of their protective tawny-coloured mother and her sister, who also has two young tawny male cubs of her own. This series follows this lion family on their journey through the Kruger wilderness as they struggle to survive and avoid danger. The last white lions cubs to be born here two years ago were killed by another lion pride before they reached six months. To keep their pride alive the two lionesses must also teach their cubs how to hunt, showing just how crucially important the parents? skills and characters are in turning their helpless cubs into little hunters.

(Snow Leopards - Beyond the Myth/2007) A secret cave deep within the mountains of Pakistan is one of the last refuges of the snow leopard - the rarest and most beautiful of all the big cats. Journalist Nisar Malik has decided to use his news skills to help promote and protect this highly endangered species. Each year generations of snow leopards have returned to the mountains to raise their young. Harsh seasons force this predator and its prey to the lower reaches of the valleys where Nisar follows their hunting, feeding and mating behaviours. For Nisar, this is a journey of discovery in which he finds beauty and peace in a place that he previously portrayed as dangerous and evil. For the viewer, the film offers a journey into a misrepresented and unknown part of the world.

Traversing all landscapes around the world for one year, we see how the seasons affect different parts of the world at different times - and how various animals cope. During the rainy season in Africa, vegetation is in abundance for such animals as the Samango monkeys who feast upon fig trees. It?s a different story when the dry season begins, and waters recede, leaving life a daily struggle for many. Later still in the year, the Northern territory?s temperature drops bitterly below zero, but climate changes means the ice forms more slowly than ever before. Though the seasons become harsher, nature becomes no less extraordinary in its survival.
