This series follows the amazing work of Hope For Wildlife Society, which looks after injured and orphaned wildlife in the Canadian wilderness - rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing thousands of animals each year. The founder of the Society, Hope Swinimer, her staff and volunteers want to right what?s gone wrong in the wild. They?re overworked, under-funded and up to their eyeballs in baby raccoons injured raptors and orphaned deer. As winter thaws, orphaned baby animals begin trickling into the rehab. By spring, it?s filled to capacity. And the rehab is fighting for survival, too. Hope scrambles to raise money as government support dwindles. In the face of it all, Hope is driven by her compassion and belief that every animal matters. An injured pigeon receives the same care as a wounded bald eagle. Not every animal can be saved. Tough choices must be made. There isn?t always a happy ending, but there is always Hope.
